He is internationally recognised for his in-depth knowledge and experience in this area and for having personally handled major leading cases.<\/p>\n He graduated from the University of Milan in 1952 and became a lecturer in industrial law in 1956. A member of the Milan Bar Association since 1954 and the Special Register of the Court of Cassation since 1960, he is Professor Emeritus of Industrial Law at the University of Milan, where he has been a full professor since 1970, after teaching at the University of Ferrara.<\/p>\n He is the author of monographs on commercial and industrial law (I diritti sulle invenzioni e sui modelli di utilit\u00e0 [Rights on inventions and utility models], Milan 2011; Il nuovo diritto dei marchi \u2013 marchio nazionale e marchio comunitario [The new trademark law \u2013 national and Community trademarks], Milan 1994, 1998, 2001, 2007; Rights on inventions and industrial designs, Milan 1976, 1984, 1990; Boycotts \u2013 an aspect of competition law, Milan 1970; Voting at shareholders’ meetings, Milan 1961; Patent interpretation, Milan 1955), he is co-editor\u00a0 of the Rivista di Diritto Industriale (Industrial Law Review).<\/p>\n He has been a member of several Ministry of Industry commissions for the development of major reforms of industrial legislation, patents (1979), trademarks (1992) and IP in general (1996 and 2010).\u00a0 He is honorary president of LIDC (Ligue Internationale du Droit de la Concurrence) and president of the Italian group.\u00a0President and founder of ISDIR (Institute for Industrial Law Studies).
