This week, the IAP – Istituto dell’Autodisciplina Pubblicitaria (Advertising Self-Discipline Institute) has released online the version of the Digital Chart Regulation, updated to regulate new forms of commercial communication with influencers, endorsements and other media peculiar above all, but not only, to the online world. Beating in time the Code of Conduct that is about to be issued by the Garante Authority, the Regulation, it contains further specific provisions on devices to signal the promotional nature of content depending on the context and the way in which messages are disseminated, in addition to the relevant cases under the Regulation, which are thus extended.
Also in this renewed version, the Regulation is intended to be incorporated into the AGCOM Code of Conduct and therefore compliance with the aforementioned provisions constitutes the cornerstone of the unassailability of a commercial communication that makes use of the media in question.
